Between the Two of Us

Between the Two of Us is an exhibition that chronicles the portraits and the stories of the artists and the models.  Sandra and Susan Wakeen, born twins, capture 15 months of a singular idea. Simply put Shared experiences enhanced the emotive quality found in each piece while seeking personal and sensitive narratives during the artistic process.

"The touch stone of  this idea came naturally as we were already sharing models and studios."  

The discoveries were enlightening...identical twins, with  different disciplines, sharing a passion as they work individually in their own studios and then simultaneously in each others studios. Through the hands of a sculptor and the eyes of a painter, the differences and similarities were surpring in ways neither expected.
